Speaker Welch Wishes All a Happy and Healthy Holiday Season

HILLSIDE, Ill. – Speaker Emanuel "Chris" Welch wants to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and peaceful holiday season.

"This time of the year allows me to reflect on the many blessings in my life, especially my beautiful wife and wonderful children," said Speaker Welch. "We are incredibly blessed to live in one of the best states in this nation, and I am so grateful that I have the opportunity to help make Illinois a better place to call home. As we gather this holiday season, I hope we all try to spread a little extra kindness and love."

Speaker Welch's office will be closed until Jan. 3rd to give staff a much-needed break to spend with their loved ones. Lawmakers will return to Springfield on Wednesday, Jan. 4th for the lame-duck session.
