Speaker Welch to Host 10th Annual Senior & Veteran Resource Fair

Forest Park, Ill. – Illinois House Speaker Emanuel “Chris” Welch is once again hosting a resource fair for senior citizens and veterans in the community on Saturday, October 22nd from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

“As Speaker of the Illinois House of Representatives I’ve been afforded the opportunity to travel to many places across our beautiful state, but nothing compares to being at home in the 7th District,” said Speaker Welch. “I’m looking forward to visiting with many members of the community while also providing necessary resources for our veterans and seniors.”

The event will be held at Proviso Mathematics & Science Academy in Forest Park. Attendees will be able to visit with vendors and service providers for free health screenings and resources for seniors and veterans. This includes free help with drafting wills and estate plans. The event will offer lunch, bingo, and prizes. COVID-19 and flu vaccines will also be available.
