Power Outage Update & Food Distribution Locations

Westchester, Ill. – After Monday's severe storm left thousands without power, ComEd crews are still working to restore power in Maywood and Westchester. As of Thursday morning, 2,058 customers still did not have power due to storm damage and the extreme heat on Tuesday and Wednesday. According to ComEd, they expect to perform permanent repairs and make necessary circuit adjustments over the next few days, and they'll prepare for the heat wave that’s expected next week.

Additionally, as many are still left without power in their homes House Speaker Emanuel "Chris" Welch wants to remind constituents there are several food pantry distribution locations throughout the community for anyone who may be in need.
