Speaker Welch to Host Annual District Job Fair
Chicago, Ill. – House Speaker Emanuel "Chris" Welch invites jobseekers and those looking to connect with employers to attend his annual job fair on Saturday, June 11 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Attendees can network, submit their resume, and receive information about resources for the unemployed and underemployed.
"I'm excited to help local job seekers connect with employers from across the state," said Speaker Welch. "We know that our communities and working families are still recovering after two years of a global pandemic. This annual event is a great way to learn more about job opportunities in our area and provide necessary resources for those in need."
The list of confirmed vendors include: NORCOMM Public Safety Communications, Inc., Borg Warner, Walgreens, Brookfield Zoo, Aspire of Illinois, PLCCA, Auto Zone, First Student, Lake Book Manufacturing, Illinois Department of Transportation, Illinois Department of Human Services, Illinois Department of Children and Family Services, Environmental Protection Agency, Amazon, Septran Student Transportation, Proviso Area for Exceptional Children, Securitas, Central Management Services, Illinois State Police, Village of Westchester, Illinois Department of Revenue, Illinois Department of Juvenile Justice, National Army Guard, Nicor, AT&T, School District 209, and Home Depot.

The event is free and open to the public and will be held at the Proviso Math & Science Academy in Forest Park.
