Speaker Welch Wishes All a Safe and Happy Fourth of July

 

WESTCHESTER, Ill. – Speaker Emanuel “Chris” Welch is wishing all a happy, fun, and safe Fourth of July.  

“I want to wish everyone a fun, safe, and happy Fourth of July,” said Speaker Welch. “It’s a wonderful opportunity to celebrate America and express our gratitude to the extraordinary men and women in our military, as well as their families for their sacrifice, dedication, and courage. While spending time with family and loved ones, I hope we all pause to celebrate what makes us American, while also continually striving to make our nation a better, stronger, and more inclusive place to call home.” 

Family Fun Around the 7th District

9:30 a.m. Westchester Parade

  • Begins at the corner of Mayfair & Dorchester and ends at Community Park on Bond Street

10 a.m. Berkeley Centennial Celebration, Fourth of July Bike Parade 

  • Meet at the Kody House, decorations will be available for bike, scooters, wagons, and strollers

10 a.m. Hinsdale Fourth of July Celebration at Burlington Park 

  • Fun, food, and festivities lasting until 4 p.m.

6:30 p.m. Forest Park Fest Event at the Park District 

  • Fireworks at dusk
