Speaker Welch to Host 12th Annual Back to School Health Fair on Saturday

HILLSIDE, Ill. – Speaker Emanuel “Chris” Welch is hosting his 12th annual free Back to School Health Fair this Saturday, July 20th from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. The event will be held at Proviso West High School in Hillside. School and sports physicals will be provided, and the first 200 families will receive free school supply kits with essential items for the upcoming school year. 

“As someone who has always had a passion for education, the Back to School Health Fair is one of my favorite events I’m able to host in our community,” said Speaker Welch. “Setting our kids up for a successful year of learning is so important, and this event allows us to have a little fun while doing it, too. It’s hard to believe summer is coming to an end, but I know so many of our children and educators are excited to get back in the classroom to make a year’s worth of memories.” 

This year’s event will offer health and wellness resources for children and families, as well as Brookfield Zoo ambassador animals, music, free raffle prizes, band performances, and much more. Families can enjoy plenty of free food, drinks, and fellowship.
