Melrose Park DMV Temporary Relocation

MELROSE PARK, Ill. – The Melrose Park DMV has currently been relocated to the Melrose Park Civic Center at 1000 N. 25th Ave. The temporary facility will be open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.

Teen Summer DMV Program 

The Teen Summer DMV Program, which dedicates DMC services exclusively to teen drivers on Saturdays during the summer at specific locations, has begun. The DMV locations include: Addison, Aurora, Bethalto, Belvidere, Bridgeview, Chicago West, Des Plaines, Elgin, Joliet, Lake Zurich, Plano, and St. Charles. 

Teens interested in this program must be 16 years old, hold a driving permit for nine months without driving infractions, completed 50 hours of behind-the-wheel practice (including 10 at night), and completed a state approved driver’s education course. 

The program hours will be 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturdays from June 1 to Aug. 31. For more information or to schedule an appointment, call the Teen Summer DMV helpline at 800-252-8980. You can also schedule online- by visiting ILSOS.gov.
