Mark Your Calendars: Speaker Welch to Host 11th Annual Back to School Health Fair in July

HILLSIDE, Ill. – Speaker Emanuel “Chris” Welch is hosting his 11th annual Back to School Health Fair this month. The event will be held on Saturday, July 29 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Proviso West High School in Hillside. School and sports physicals will be available and free to the public. The first 200 families will receive their own free school supply kits with essential items for the upcoming school year.

"Back to school season is always an exciting time in my house,” said Speaker Welch. “We love summer break, but my kids are excited to get back in the classroom to see their friends and challenge themselves for another year. It’s important that all our kids head back to school in the fall healthy and ready to learn. This event is truly one of my favorites all year long and I look forward to seeing many families in my community.”

The Back to School Health Fair will include free food and drinks. Brookfield Zoo Ambassador animals will be there, along with music, free raffle prizes, live band performances, and much more. Families will be able to get a head start on the new academic year with a variety of local service providers offering important health and wellness resources for children and families.
