Speaker Welch Wishes All a Happy and Healthy Thanksgiving

WESTCHESTER, Ill. – As we gather to reflect on our many blessings this holiday season, House Speaker Emanuel “Chris” Welch wants to wish everyone a very happy and restful Thanksgiving.  

“I am truly living such a blessed life,” said Speaker Welch. “I am incredibly thankful for my wonderful family and friends, both personal and colleagues in the Illinois General Assembly. I am blessed to have two healthy children who keep me young and busy with baseball, dance, basketball, and more. I wake up each day knowing what a privilege it is to serve my community and the state of Illinois, and I am looking forward to another year of growth and happiness.” 

Lawmakers completed a successful veto session earlier this month and will return to Springfield for the spring legislative session in January.
